Ficus pumila is a species of flowering plant in the family Moraceae, native to East Asia. It is a woody evergreen vine, growing to 2.5–4 m. The juvenile foliage is much smaller and thinner than mature leaves produced as the plant ages.
It has two distinct types minima with small leaves variegated,margin banded yellow,lamina deep green.
The plant is propagated from cuttings which are planted during the rains in a well prepared soil near the wall at a distance of 8-10 cm.
